Altair is one of the very brightest stars in the night sky and is part of the constellation of Aquila (Eagle). It is also one of the brightest stars in Sea Ranch Escape's galaxy of vacation rental homes here in The Sea Ranch. Altair backs against one of Sea Ranch's signature cypress hedgerows, at the edge of a large meadow, and has beautiful vistas to the Pacific Ocean. Entry is through a gated parking area and garden where horseshoes and/or croquet can be enjoyed. A hot tub is located there as well. The main living area is on the second floor and is divided into three main spaces - a great room, a loft, and the master bedroom suite. The great room includes the kitchen area, dining area, and several sitting areas, one of which is for enjoying television. Guests comment frequently about how great the "cook's kitchen" is for those who love to cook. The art & library loft is located above the kitchen and is a favorite hideaway for the younger set. The oceanside of the great room is a wall of windows that look out over the meadow to the Pacific beyond. A corner veranda provides more seating with those same wonderful vistas just outside the great room. The master bedroom suite with bath is accessed from the south end of the great room and has a wonderful window seat suitable for a quiet nap while the rest of your party is pursuing more energetic pursuits. The second bedroom suite is downstairs and it too has a cozy window seat for that nap or maybe a place to finish the book that you have been reading. It also has a double shower in the bath. The home has a gas BBQ, free domestic and worldwide telephone service, laundry facilities, central heat, and a wood stove. Given the privacy of the two bedroom suites and the numerous places that one can find either solitude or company as the situation might require, this is an ideal home for one or two couples or a family. Children over eight are welcome.
The Sea Ranch trail system is close by and provides access to over fifty miles of private trails - all of which are open to you and your party. The bluff trail is very close to Altair and Pebble Beach is but a five minute stroll from your door. $549/666 two nights, $1,435/1,787 seven nights.
